Happy Celestial 80th Birthday, Gini Illick! You w Happy Celestial 80th Birthday, Gini Illick!
You were the first artist to take a chance on me so many years ago. Your belief in me never wavered over all those years. Exhibit after Exhibit, so many memories. I miss you dearly. We miss you!

Gini’s training was in the classical Modernist tradition at the Barnstone Studios. Before that, she fell in love with Abstract Expressionism and it’s raw explosive power.
“Barnstone insisted on rigor, the European canon. I am an amalgam of these two explosive forces. Sort of like the forces of the universe which I am trying to understand, but really can’t. Yet.” ~ Gini

Today we were graciously recognized by the @lancci Today we were graciously recognized by the @lanccityalliance in their “Milestone Awards”. The Gallery fell into the 15-year milestone award category which we are so thankful for! As we are about to celebrate 17 years in just 6 weeks, I wanted to thank everyone who has supported the Gallery over these last 17 years. Our 18th year sits at the new dawn of 2021 and hopefully, we will all be able to celebrate properly soon! I look forward to reaching 20 years and SO many more!

In 2014, during our 10 year-anniversary, James Douglas painted this beautiful painting of the facade of the Gallery. The painting hangs in my office. The artwork in the window in the painting: Robert A. Nelson, “Sword Bearing Sheep” sculpture, and Marc Daniels, “Beet” and “The Ark”.
